  Really disappointing. Took forever to get our take out and then when we got home, we had been given the wrong order. Also incredibly expensive, $29 for 3 fish tacos and a pouting. Finally it tasted like crap, the fish tacos had cheap shredded cheese in them and the ahi tuna was inedible. If you want fish tacos go to the stall in the farmers market downtown

  So I am very disappointed with what I just saw at Joeys Urban today in Grande Prairie. After about a 5 minute wait at the till as no one was there the female staff member came out of the back room and apologized for not being there. I politely said it was ok but was a bit irritated. So she took my order, I paid with cash and she completed the transaction. She then went over and put on one plastic glove and took the fish out of the fridge, battered it and then put it in the deep fryer. She then took the glove off and threw it in the garbage. She then went over to another box, took out a single glove and put it on. She then took the two soft taco shells and threw them on the flat grill. Again she took off the glove and threw it away. She then without putting on gloves or washing her hands she pressed down on the shells as they warmed up. She then pulled the sauce out of the fridge and the male employee came out of the back pushing a cart of containers. He wheeled it into the walk-in cooler and as he walked out of the cooler. He must have felt the need to put both of his hands on the shells before heading to the back to do whatever he was doing. The female employee then took both shells off the grill with her bare hands and placed them on the prep station. She then wiped her hands on her pants and without putting on gloves or washing them she took the lettuce and other vegetables and continued to make my dinner. As I watched her continue to make things I was absolutely disappointed in what I had just observed and asked her for a refund. She politely said no problem and I asked her if she knew why I was asking for one and she said no. So I explained to her that I understand the food prep processes and I couldn't understand why at no point either her or the other gentleman never washed their hands and she had no answer for me. Well I can honestly say that I will not eat there again as they obviously don't care about the food handling process or people's health. If you choose to support this place please ensure you watch the process and don't assume they are doing what the Health Department expects them to do. Now to find another place to go eat :(
