New chef = better food! :)

I went there when they first opened and the food was ok, wasn't great, wasn't bad... Just ok. Now that they have a new chef? It's very different. I love the way their new chef prepares his sauces. Filipino food has lots to do with sauces (usually sauce of the main course is also poured on steamed rice as an example) so this change made a massive difference in the quality. It now tastes like a high end Pinoy restaurant without having to pay Philippines Airlines a massive wad of cash and dealing with the Ninoy Aquino International Airport! I love it!

The prices are fair as well and their combo meals are perfect for lunch and dinner. Today I had the Chicken Adobo combo with Java rice and mixed vegetables and the meal was full of flavour. The portion of chicken was also surprisingly larger than I would have thought it was going to be as well. Their beef brisket combo is also ridiculously good and I usually get that with plain steamed rice and a salad.

The price is about the same as any dinner for one combo meal so there's no surprises there.

If you go with a group? Just order a few plates of different foods and then just share amongst the group just like most Pinoy restaurants.

The waitresses there are all kind and smiles and kind greetings so it is a nice environment to relax in and now I always have good food to look forward to as well.

after three attempts of trying to get into the restaurant to enjoy some authentic Filipino cuisine I finally get the chance and boy am I excited. Upon entering it looks like a cafeteria nothing impressive as we sit down and wait we are being spied up and I get a weird vibe as if not welcomed but im willing to brush this aside. After a bit of a wait for just water and menus (only one other table with a single occupant) we finally get to browse the menu. The menu is very intriguing with items such as oxtail and pig ears. For our meal we start with lumpia shanghai (a house meat with garlic and onions as well order sizzling sigsig and i wanted to try the tokwat baboy but for some reason they dont have tofu so i ask what our waitress would recommend and she points out the fried pork belly so we went with that. As we wait i see our order come up in the window once or twice and placed back down in the kitchen. It took awhile for our meal and it all came at once (instead of appy first). The sigsig and pork belly although rich was delicious but the lumpia that we ordered for some reason she gave us spring rolls and when questioned about it she just said they changed the look (taking me for a fool) as well they served them with ketchup and still charged us the two dollars more for the original appy we asked for. Needless to say I felt very unwelcomed and walked away unhappy I will not be going back.

Great little find in GP:) I'm a picky eater and the food was good the wonton soup and set #4 is what I had and I enjoyed it friendly enough service. Small place and quiet staff but all around a good little place to dine.
