  Low on supply and high on demand makes for a bit of a wait but Hong Fah never disappoints! Best Thai Resturant north of Red Deer's Rueon!

  Been dying to write this review for months.... 5 times I have been to grande prairie and 4 out of 5 times this place was closed for who knows what reason for a week or two at a time. This is common, really common, which makes me thing of Gordon Ramsay shows of how food is stored and what not, and who knows how old and neglected the meat and produce is when they do decide to return and show up and start cooking up again after a week or two. Then I finally got to eat it and I wasn't blown away, I have had better for more affordable in other cities. The waitress had her daughter at work too, although cute as hell, totally unprofessional when she's trying to work and watch her child who is freely walking around the dining room. Figure your *stuff* out, are you a resteraunt or a hobby? Luckily few doors down the Vietnamese is always open, willing to take my companies food allowance, tips, and is a good price range and quality food!!!

  My boyfriend and I went to have dinner at this restaurant yesterday night. We asked for a special dish (Lab) and they made it for us. I was sooooo delicious. Their Tom Yum soup is also the best I have ever tried! The server, a kind lady, was always checking on us and making sure that we did not need anything else.
  
  I think that their emplacement, decor are ambiance are not good and that they would have much more success if they were downtown in a more fashionable restaurant. We are definitely going back for the very good food that tasted like it was just out of a Thai mama kitchen.

  There's not a lot of competition in the Grande Prairie Thai restaurant market, but this place is not slacking off. The menu has enough choices and the quality of the food is very good. Most importantly, the food is tasty. It is family run with a cute preschooler (daughter of the waitress) wandering around and adding some charm to the place.
